DJ Gongol & Associates represents the
Patterson Pump Company, a subsidiary of the
Gorman-Rupp Company, in the states of Iowa and Nebraska.
Patterson pumps are made for a variety of applications in both
clean water and wastewater applications.
For small-flow situations -- like many found in Iowa and Nebraska,
Patterson offers a highly economical alternative to end suction and
horizontal split-case pumps:
vertical in-line pumps.
The
Patterson Vertical In-Line Pump (VIP) is an excellent choice for in-line boosting applications at flows of 1,500 gallons per minute or less. The suction and discharge flanges on a
Patterson vertical in-line pump are 180° apart on a common center line, so the pump can be installed directly into existing piping.

Because the
Patterson vertical in-line pump is lightweight, it requires no foundation or concrete pad, saving lots of money on installation costs.
Patterson's vertical in-line pump is available with either packing or a mechanical seal. The mechanical seal can be inspected easily without requiring the operator to tear down the entire pump, and the packing is done with a two-piece gland for easy installation and removal.
