DJ Gongol and Associates represents the GA Industries line of "Checktronic" electric pump check valves. These unique valves are well-suited to high-head pumping applications where surges and power failures are possible.

Under normal operation, these valves operate with an electric-motor-actuated check feature, programmed to open at a rate that allows the pump to build up sufficient pressure before opening against the force main. When shutdown occurs, the valve can pulse closed in order to prevent surge and reduce the risk of creating vapor cavities and shock waves in the pipework.

Additionally, the Checktronic is designed to close automatically and immediately upon loss of power. Should an electrical outage occur causing the pumps lose power, the Checktronic closes immediately to protect the pumps from backspinning or other damage that can be caused by a sudden reversal of flow. This protects vital equipment inside the pump station and ensures that the investment made in the pump station is protected even in case of unexpected outages.
